Not familiar with the Outback inverter, but the Outback Solar Charger is superbly engineered, FWIW.
As many have said, the integrated transfer switch can be very useful. The Prosine t/s is quick enough that I've never seen it disrupt my computers or any load-sensitive device, and I've got plenty. Considering that a pair of Prosine 2.0 are among your cheaper 4000 watt options, I would consider that a slam-dunk.
Two branches off your 30a box, one to each Prosine, and then from there to small distribution panels. Done! If I wasn't so envious of 24v I would double up my 12v Prosine right now.
