GOLF CART battery BALANCE/EQUALIZEcharge???
bought a new golf cart charger a Lester Summit 2 for a 36 volt cart. Plugged it in today first time and it charged and the proper indicator lights went on and all worked fine.... right now a green lig...

THANKS for the response. while it was charging normally before my meter was reading around 38.3, once it was complete they read 37.10, than it kicked in to this balance mode and the batts read the 44.2. will check it again a a couple hours. thanks again, as long as i know its normal operation... "
The problem remains that it was "charging" at 38.3v! That is like 12.76v for one pair. Not charging at all. Something is wrong!
You want that 44 volts when charging right from the start till the batts are full, and then if you leave it plugged in once the batts are full, the voltage should drop to say 40 volts for the "float voltage".
