I doubt they will like you at quiet Walmart with open frame generator running overnight.
You might fit right at Rest Stop on truck pad, although newer diesels are quieter as well.
California made a law forbidding long idling and guess what kind of generators are truckers mounting on their rigs?
But noise aside, "Runs 10 hours at 50% load from a 4-gal. fuel tank"
That means you need to fill it up 3 x a day and have lot of cans if you plan to camp for few days.
On my Honda EU3000 the 3 gallon tank last 24 hr on average day, or 13 hr running 15k AC constantly.
Food for toughs.
How do people know how me or the OP are going to run our generators? I never need to run my generator 24 hours in a row. That is why God invented mountains and man invented shore power. How do the truckers keep their refrigerated trailers cool without making any noise?
I have a Honda eu2000i and it is a nice little 1,600 watt generator. I like having 3,500 watts available when I need it. Your Walmarts must be quieter than the dozens I have visited. NOBODY notices my generator running. Not the semis, not the boom boxes, not the squealing tires, not the loud mufflers, not the street sweepers.
As far as fuel economy, If one wants to produce 3,000 watts of power, there is not a whole lot of difference between inverter and non-inverter generators. The big difference comes when demand is low enough to take advantage of the economy mode. I might use four gallon a week when traveling, so the savings is not important. An hour here and and an hour in your Walmart, is about it.
