Worth a try. The draw from the generator does go down with output DC amps. I don't know if the divide by 10 rule would apply here or not. (The 89 is VA not watts. VA = Watts only when PF = 1) I don't know if you would use the 10 to 1 rule with the VA or the Watts to get the amps right. If you had an ammeter too, you could cross-check.

Maybe somebody else has both and can post the right answer?

The PM 60 amper and below are not PF -corrected. The PM 75 amper and higher are PF corrected
