Get a GENUINE MANGANIN SHUNT. Solder not screw the volt sense wires to the shunt. Go to buyincoins.com get their 4-1/2 digit led voltmeter. Use 8 gauge Tyrannosaur grade clamps with teeth on the cables. Solder the voltage wires to the meter leads. Use DeOxit where the meter leads plug into the volt meter. Presto. You have a guaranteed insanely accurate ammeter that would have cost five grand 30 years ago. The stuff to do this is CHEAP. No self-respecting NERD would be without one. Yeah it takes a calculator to convert milli-volts to amperage, so sue me. The meter will knock your socks off for accuracy down to high milliamps resolution. A non loop meter is best. Battery powered.
