Conditioning is best done one battery at a time. Worst case when doing more than one is that one jar reaches fully charged before the other and starts to overheat, or exceeds the gassing voltage. With flooded--easy enough to add more electrolyte--but with sealed AGM's it is important to not cause them to gas, while getting as close as possible to that voltage. Hence "dancing on the needles".
My personal belief is the batteries we have are a special subset of AGM and the advice from the maker should be followed to the letter. In my case I do have temperature compensated charging from both the solar and the Magnum inverter charger.
The PD @ 14.4 may not be enough to "wake up" the AGM's. In this instance ambient temperature being higher would have a similar effect to using higher voltage.
The PD is famous for NOT putting out it's rated voltage when in bulk (14.4 volt) mode. The higher the amp-hour rating of the jar the longer the PD will take to get to 14.4. The PD also has a timer which limits how long it stays in bulk, so if you have not reached the goal, then use the wizard to force it to go back to bulk.
The PD will not send more amps than the battery can accept, so no, it would never send 80 amps, unless the jar was extremely abused.

I understand it is not ok to put the PD on just one battery because it will try to send 80 amps -- is that correct?
