Those "Not to exceed 27 amps" warnings...
Read On...
Are for telecomm customers customers who run series connections in their banks. Customers who DEMAND ten to 12 years minimum service out of their batteries.
Time for debunking:
Apply FULL RATED manufacturer recommended absorbsion voltage to one telecomm battery when it is discharged. At say 14.4 volts, how many amperes are flowing?
Debunking 102:
Do these manufacturers specify a minimum recommended recharging amperage
Oooooooooo I can't wait. Why not?
They are ALL THE SAME...
OEM demands strict recharging compliance to ensure maximum percentage assurance their product will meet telecomm customer longevity spec. Got it? They do not want THEY DID NOT LAST AS LONG AS THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD criticism from the telecomm industry.
Again it's a burn three hundred dollars worth of extra fuel to save thirty dollars worth of battery life enigma.
Remember AGM has a minimum charge amperage spec. Recharging solely via solar panels is verboten if less than 20% total amp hours charge rate amperage is available.
Fishy? Grab the net and creel.
