Honda insists your new Franzelsmatten Sports Zippo will operate error free for 500,000 miles
Here are the conditions AS VERIFIED BY ECU STORED CODES:
Speed must never exceed 45 mph
Engine can only be operated after a 10 minute warmup
Deceleration must never exceed .5G
Lateral force but never exceed .3G
4 Engine startups per day maximum
Engine oil must be changed every 90 or 3,000 miles whichever comes first.
Car must be serviced at an authorized Honda dealer @ 120 days maximum interval.
"Hey lookie here Vern! My new Honda! Guaranteed to last half a million miles!"
ME AND MY SCALE. THREE YEARS. My Lifeline has not lost ONE GRAM of weight despite my insistence of floating the battery at a higher voltage than OEM spec. Lifeline knows better than to argue with me. It's not much higher .1 to .2 volts but sticking strictly to their regimen* the battery was not staying 100% charged. Who out there wants to argue with my $3,000.00 worth of voltage meters?
*Over time this battery would have sulfated. no question. OEM is NOT the ultimate altar of battery knowledge - your "aware customer" brain is.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THESE TELECOMM BATTERIES
Carbon Pile Load Test To 250 amps for 15 seconds then record the voltage. A capacity test of course is best but a carbon pile load test is not a poor second choice. ANY and I mean ANY degradation or compromising of the plates will show up as a poor amperage discharge test result.

Batteries and bunk myths. A thick mat telecomm battery has a superior 100 hour discharge rate. Find out what YOUR telecomm battery 100 hour rate is then compare it to a group 31 AGM or GC220 AGM.
But doing barrel rolls and wearing out a generator is nuts. So is ignoring the fact that ALL AGM batteries have a minimum amperage recharging value. The DEEPER the discharge the more important this value becomes.
Most of you have never seen a telecomm battery management system. It is sophisticated beyond belief. The batteries have a high and low voltage cutout. Over amperage cutout. Programmed recharge, and PROGRAMMED FLOAT. Does your wiz bang converter or solar controller have programmed float? Of course not. Drops out of float and zaps Vabs for a half hour then drops back into float. Every 5th day or so.
