Got my new (used) batteries!! Now, how do I rejuvenate them?

Naio. You have Hatfield & McCoy batteries.

The one that got hot is no steenky bueno.

Connected to the others it will act to destroy them.

A handful of same same batteries does not have "some" stay cool while other get hot.

Please don't ruin your good batteries.
