Many folks have migrated over to using an App called Waze on their Smart Phones. I have a new Honda with GPS Nav. Hate it. I also have a portable Garmin GPS which I like.
Best of all is the Waze Free App. Does not require a continuous Data Signal, low Data use, voice and arrow directions, shows location of radar traps, red light cameras, police, accidents, traffic delays, disabled vehicles, etc, etc all updated by we users.
It has an adaptive learning feature - for frequently traveled routes it learns from the roads you actually take to follow those roads in future trips. Not much use on a single long trip, big value when taking frequent local trips.
