GPS Why not a smart phone?
I am curious as to why a stand alone GPS still seems to be so popular. What with smart phones and tablets being readily available I would think that the stand alone units would sort of fade away. I me...

Prolly depends upon your truck (or Fit?). My 2011 F150 4x2 has a silly round coin holder (where the 4x4's have a rotating switch for diff modes).
Just so happens the coin holder is in the right place visibility-wise, so I attached a piece of Al channel that holds the tablet. Works fine, though the coin holder is sort-of destroyed by the screws holding the Al channel.
Have also seen commercial tablet holders that attach to the louvres of your vents.
