GPS Why not a smart phone?
I am curious as to why a stand alone GPS still seems to be so popular. What with smart phones and tablets being readily available I would think that the stand alone units would sort of fade away. I me...

Taking your eyes off the road is a bad idea. This is how accidents happen. Use voice guidance. Nearly all Android apps have voice, don't know about Iphone.
How do you know how fast you are driving, that no warning lights have come on, and etc. I know many cars now let you adjust radio from steering wheel, but I believe most people look over at the radio to determine their selection. So the comment of taking your eyes off the road is a null statement in my opinion. And you can't tell me that you use voice guidance without looking at the screen to make sure you are doing the right thing.
