GPS Why not a smart phone?
I am curious as to why a stand alone GPS still seems to be so popular. What with smart phones and tablets being readily available I would think that the stand alone units would sort of fade away. I me...

I have mixed emotions about it... it is certainly different than my numerous previous devices. Escort has not done right by their customers, IMHO, some android phones simply do not work well with EL and the MAX 360. (My Galaxy S6 Edge, for example, and they insist it's the way different android mfgs design. Hogwash, their EL app earlier versions worked fine with my new $700 phone.
I think I'd do some Forum reading and look at a different Radar detector, with hindsight.
