I have about 14 years Honda generator that has never seen stabil neither.
It would run on 1 year old gas (CA formula) just fine, but last season I had 2 years gas and I had to run it with partial choke or it would hesitate on ECO mode.
I think motorcycle is more prone to evaporation and chalks from dried gasoline are very common issues.
That is why I always run carburetors dry before putting the engine away.
