LY to clarify, I do not use the % Full feature of the Trimetric. (I think their way of doing that is bogus.) I only use the AH counter and do a paper calculation of % full by using my assumed "AH when full", based on age, temperature, and working the results back and forth to test for "reasonableness."
The Tri itself has a built-in heat loss fudge factor, which I leave in, right or wrong. ( I do not adjust it as is possible with the Tri.) So AH "restored" and therefore the SOC I figure, is a best guess. However I have been doing this for a while, so IMO :) my best guess is pretty good. You are also intimate with your set-up, so you know what I mean about knowing what is going on with it.
