Guardian RV Generator problem

Question

My model 004700-0 generator, 3600 watts, stopped working. When I turn it on, no load, the output voltage increases but at some point it decreases to a point that the meter won't read it and stays there. The whole cycle takes a few seconds, maybe 3-5. No circuit breakers are opened.

Any ideas?

Probably needs a regulator.  Find a dealer/repair service.

Thanks Johno02, I spoke to a local repair service and he mentioned the same thing. He can't work on it for  couple of weeks, which is ok with me, so I guess I'll find out then.

Had a simular problem, extended out trip to go to Bangor to visit authorized repair site.  New regulator solved problem.
