Again better programming can allow for this. Mine is set to accumulate 30 minutes below float before it restarts the bulk charge cycle.
My TS-MPPT-60 does this too, annoying as all get out as I want it to kick it up when I turn on load, not drain my banks.
The Rogue goes into bulk(mppt) when loads drop the battery voltage 0.5V (?I think?) below the float set point. IOW when the loads are high enough that it can't maintain the float setpoint.
So when boondocking, and when I want to be sure the batts are fully charged when the sun goes down, I up the float setpoint to 13.6V. But when in storage with minimal loads, I drop it to 13.1V.
