Right you are.
That's why I disconnect the RV batteries from the always-on converter whenever the RV is sitting in the back yard in hot weather.
That's also why I live in Central CA ... so that I don't have to disconnect the RV batteries from the always-on converter due to any concerns about the converter's voltage being too low of a float whenever the RV is sitting in the back yard during our mild winters.
But ..... I figure it's better to use coach batteries that are designed right from the get-go to be floated "nominally and on-average" at 77 degrees F at converter voltages. Well ... at least better to use coach batteries where the manufacturer is willing to state in writing that converter voltages are proper at 77 degrees F.
