Hey thanks guys - Just in time too... I need three... I believe I will go with AMAZON PRIME... Hope that one reads both directions with a minus (-) - didn't read up on it yet... Last time I ordered from EBAY I ran into a couple of problems with PAYPAL... I guess I haven't used as much as I should have...

just FYI, the larger the range, the less precise the measurement. so a 100a meter on a 20a fused circuit is going to be rather useless (IMHO)

Was looking at the specs I didn't see anything to tell which direction the current was flowing - was hoping to see a minus(-) symbol...

ALso wonder what you do to make it read voltage.. Don't see any button on front frame...

You have to go down the page and in the specs it says +/- 100 Amps

If the maximum current is truly 20 amps, then loop the wire to be measured through the sensor 5 times. That may improve on the accuracy.

My 70 amp units appear to agree well with a Fluke meter right down to 0.88 amps.

nice. they are better than the Analog Devices hall effect chips I've been working with. I bought some +/- 30amp chips and they don't register in the milliamp range at all with a 15bit ADC.

110mv per amp sensitivity or some such
