Harbor Freight Batteries

Got some freebie batteries (AAA's) from Harbor Freight the other day.
Does anyone have any experience with these batteries? I see that they are zinc chloride batteries. Do they have a tendency to leak at all?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks

  • i buy at HF.. but not batteries,
i have their 5 ton ? hydraulic crimping tool 3ys old, which i used last friday 6-19-15
their porta power hydraulic tool 2yrs old
vibrating multi-tool, which has paid for itself many times over 6yrs old
    a nice 12ga 50ft extension cord, 3yrs old
some slot/clamp type battery disconnect switches
    nutsert tool, pop rivet tool
  • They leak. IMHO these batteries are the cheapest Zinc chloride junk made in China.

Harbor Fight alkaline batteries - hand lamp went 5+ hours on Duracell batteries but still had a weak glow.

Harbor Fright: checked at 3 hours and lamp was stone cold.dead.
