Cheap "introduction" USED to be true.
Not so now days.
HF wants $190 for that kit, even with a 20% off coupon that is $152.
You CAN get one SINGLE 100W panel now days for $109 ( same brand I linked) and 30A controllers for less than $40..
Not to mention the HF panels are not tiny and it takes FOUR panels to equal 100W.. Takes up a lot of real estate..
Now who has the better "hobby" price?
Many years ago, HF DID have great "hobby" prices on their panel kits back when a 50W panel from other vendors would set you back $300, now days not so much.
Now if HF would get real with the pricing and make the kit competitive at say $75-$80 then it might be worth the hassle..
