Hard start A/C capacitor worth getting?

I had been reading some information about hard start capacitors for the A/C unit but I thought I'd see if anyone could offer some feedback from anyone who's actually installed one. Is it worth it? Does it help anything? Are they expensive? And are they had to install? Thanks everyone.

    If not for some other issues (I already have a motor start cap in my spares kit) I would put one in my spares kit. Just in cuss.
