hard wired my converter in but not sure of polarity

I hard wired my new converter into my Magnetek 7345. It fit right into the lower opening. Everything is running great. But my question is this. I believe when I cut the plug off and wired it into ...

On some cords, instead of a rib on one wire, it will have the wire size and specifications running down the neutral side.
