No, in this case everything is wired correctly except the polarity is switched going into the converter only. On my 7345 there was a blue positive and white neutral with no ground. I grounded my new converter to old magnatek ground as well as the ground wire from the cord. This is from my phone so probably kind screwed up!
Yes the 120v input wires are reversed, which is the OP question. The blue and white wires on the 7345 are the DC output wires.
The new converter is a plug-in type for its 120, so the OP cut off the plug to be able to wire the 120 cord where the 7345 120v wires were. Except now there was also a green wire, which would go to the neg buss I suppose.
The 7300 power centre's ground is common for the 12v and 120v and in fact the whole metal case is "live" as a ground, being grounded to the rig's frame by the big bare copper wire in the 120v 30a input (shore power) cord.
120v things work with the neutral and hot reversed, but where here the neutral goes to a buss one question (some guys on here will know this stuff, I don't) would be over possible GFCI issues.
Yep I screwed that up, as you said the blue and the white are the 12 volt DC. I should have said the original black and white wires were wired correctly from the breaker and neutral bar. Now the only thing wired wrong is the polarity going into the converter on the 120v. But I am going to change that just curious will it actually cause any harm.
