Has any used LED's or EL Wire to outline their RV?

The OP in this thread asked for "How to advice"........Not "Should I shouldn't I advice"......there is a difference.......

you will see more of this in resorts, with Full hookups and paved sites
than out in state or federal parks and Camping sites

Umm.. what you are finding out is not "everyone" will "appreciate" things like mobile light shows whether bright or dim.

You are a newbe to this site, perhaps a newbe to camping but regardless of that you should take a step back and realize that while you may not have "asked" for the opposite comments IT WILL HAPPEN.

Much better to be "offended" here on this forum than out in a campground with a disgruntled fellow camper..

There are folks who light up their RVs like a Christmas tree down to no light at all.. You must think of how others may feel and respect their feelings when camping in public places..

Camping out in the wilderness or on your own properties you don't have to worry about others so have at it.. But when camping within a public campground being mindful that others may take offense to even small amounts of unwanted lighting..

You are seeing more and more of this type of accent lighting on campers. In 5 years, this type of lighting will be a factory option.

like anything else, Moderation .. goes a long ways

So it won't bother you the next time the noisy drunks keep you awake? You just put up with things you don't like instead of making your voice heard?

I figure if I don't speak up about things, then I have no business harumphing when those things happen. IMO lots of trailer lights in a pleasantly dim campground are merely an annoyance, like mosquitoes: they can be ignored, but it's much nicer when they aren't around in the first place. No crusade, just the way I feel about it.

I have seen them under the awning and I like them for in use same as having a lantern to play some cards on a warm night. But no I don't have any.

Hello! There are at least 5 RV's currently here in NK'MIP RV Resort that use the LED strips to outline there RV's around the windows, doors and body edges. At Christmas it looked really kewl and festive. I noticed that now they have turned down or off some of the lighting and left strategic runs of the LED's on. IMNSHO they look good and aren't bright enough to be of a concern or distraction to the next door neighbor. Of course, in this park, there is some separation from the neighbor, several feet usually with mature trees between each RV. I guess I can understand some folks objections to really annoying and bright lights blinking, flashing and blaring. OTOH, I think that a little tolerance of others people lifestyle goes a long way to easing the angst of someone not living by your "standards and preferences". As always, YMMV!

I have red led rope lights run along my frame under the RV and another set around the opening of my rear deck. It gives a very soft red glow under the RV and have had several compliments from other campers. Our new unit also has 2 small red LED strips on the nose. Looks cool at night and easy on the eyes.
