With that kind of investment I'd suggest you use a hydrometer to test each cell for SOC. Does your solar charge controller have an equalize cycle? Is the bulk setpoint of the charger around 15V? The 6V batteries thrive on a higher set point for bulk charging than is customary for many charge controllers.
Do you have a manual charger that can put some good power?
Don't get too worried. With big banks, adequate care, and good connections you should be able to get them to a good SOC.
