I had a similar problem in that my BluRay player only had HDMI out and I wanted to be able to watch it in the bedroom. My solution was a 35 foot HDMI cable and a electronic splitter. IIRC, the two things were less than $25. I ran the cable myself and the splitter is the only item that uses 120vac so I do have to turn the inverter on. Works perfectly at much less than the quoted 2 to 3 hundred.
