Help...1st time RV'r - plugin's not working

Hello,
I am brand new to the RV lifestyle, my trailer hasn't even left the yard yet.........this is my dilemma.....

This morning I used my blowdryer for the first time and had the GFI plug blow. I couldn't get it to reset and noticed ALL the other outlets were not working. Is is possible that every plugin is on one breaker?? I have 6 breakers on the box but none of them were tripped. I tried turning off the main power and back on.....nothing.
I am plugged into shore power and the lights still worked as well as the pump but that is it.

I am in a 2007 Brookside travel trailer that has had a few bugs to work out before hitting the road (when I say just a few, I mean just about everything) Next time I will know better when buying used.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

  • Have you checked inside the house instead of the trailer? Did the breaker in the house trip?
  • yes it's possible that all six outlets are on a single circuit. If it's a GCFI circuit, look for the *one* outlet that has a breaker reset button on the outlet - press that back in.

  • The lights and the pump are powered by 12 volt battery power (also called DC- Direct Current) not 110 AC (also called Alternate Current). Is there a microwave? Is the clock on the microwave working?

Just to be sure, turn the breakers off and then back on again. Sometimes they are tripped even when they don't look like it.
