Weird that the P.O. didn't have the same problem...Have the nozzles changed that much recently?
If I were you, I'd go to an RV or propane shop (not just a gas seller) and ask them to fix you up with whatever adapter you might need to get around that obstruction..
Unfortunately the PO never filled the tank, as he never went camping. He bought it with a 1/2 tank, replaced all the appliances, used it as a daily driver for a few mths, and then sold it with the same amt of propane as when he bought it. I already used the 1/2 that was in there not knowing I would have this problem.I am located in Nassau County, Long Island NY.. not too many Rv places around here. I will have to do some research on finding an adapter, or notching out the compartment.. i'm still open to suggestions if anyone else has had this problem with their RT

Gotcha...
While Nassau may not have RV places, I guarantee you it's got gas appliance supplier/installers!
Any one of them could solve this problem for you...
Good luck!
This was great advice. I went to a gas supplier/installer, and they were able to make me up a 45 degree adapter with brass fittings right there on the spot, they then used it to test it, and fill my tank. It worked great! I just have to remember to have it with me when traveling. Thank You!
