Ok... So if I have a "relay" now... would there be a switch somewhere? That turns it on and off? (manually?). My brother swears that when I bought it, the original owner mentioned something about a switch for just that... But I must have not been paying attention.
And I am looking more for "easiest" over "best". I am not a "full time" guy... mainly just use it to go on a trip or two and have a place to sleep at a rest stop. I would like to avoid expensive and complicated rewiring (even if it is better)... If it worked these past 30 years... it will be good enough for me! :)
