Help to trouble shoot stair chair

I replaced the two 12V batteries in my stair chair. I've done this before with no problems. Today I replaced the batteries again and now it doesn't work.
This is what I did to try to find any problems.I checked the voltage on the batteries with an ohms meter. They show between 13/14 volts. They are amg batteries. There is a 110 volt plug with I think a step down transformer and a light that shows red/low charge or green/full charge. With one battery hooked up I get a bright green light. With both batteries hooked up I get a red flashing light. I did one battery at a time.unhook one battery green light, hook that battery back up red flashing light. Unhook the other battery green light, hook it back up red flashing light. Checked the reset button but it didn't pop so it doesn't need to be reset. Checked the limit switch and it dose click when I push it with a screw driver.
I have a call in to tech support but it's a weekend soooo :(
  • The inverter I guess is what I called a step down transformer. The wire harness is wire tied together with two hots and two grounds to push onto the batteries.
  • Two 12-volt batteries,

Are they connected together correctly ?
  • What is between 12v batts and chair? Is there an inverter? Something is making 110v. Have you tested volts in and out at the inverter?
