There is Auburn then there is Jackson. The reason I ask is the heater use, the squirrel cage blower draws a lot of power. If you are going to spend the winter there you need to go with more panels -- a hassle -- and set them up as portables, and stow them inside when traveling. Because to the East rise the Sierras, and you're likely to not get winter sun much before 11 o'clock. Eleven to thee makes four hours.
Twenty amps charge rate would give you eighty amp hours per day. With care and planning that would go a long way in reducing generator run time. So would a One Hundred Ampere converter charger. Spending three hundred dollars a month on gasoline is a loser. The goal of absolutely minimizing generator run time should be your number one priority.
What to do with the portable panels will prove to be a headache when you go shopping. Quarter inch 316 marine grade cable is pricey but running it to say four panels would make stealing them a real chore. The nice thing about portable panels and a low latitude winter sun is the ability to once-a-day reposition them like sunflowers move and face the sun.
