Help with picking out components, and do I need solar.

I strongly recommend you look into an invert/charger/transfer switch all-in-one ! Samlex , Victron and Magnum all sell them. Thet will make you installation go much easier.

With an invert/charger/transfer switch, you no longer need a converter/charger. Disconnect it and connect the DC distribution panel directly to your battery bank.
