I did confuse the two, but now I get it.
I think I need both.
A charge controller for the solar, and a new upgraded battery charger to better accommodate the new lithium batteries.
Still wondering if this is a good package for me?

Is this 100/30 solar charge controller enough to handle 3 to 4 100W panels?

Hi,
Don't confuse battery charging with 120 volt ac.
Solar installations need to include a "charge controller".Stromboli wrote:theoldwizard1 wrote:
I strongly recommend you look into an invert/charger/transfer switch all-in-one ! Samlex , Victron and Magnum all sell them. Thet will make you installation go much easier.
With an invert/charger/transfer switch, you no longer need a converter/charger. Disconnect it and connect the DC distribution panel directly to your battery bank.
So with one of these all in ones its everything I need except for the panels?
