HF 10-Amp Charger Coupon Sale $29.99

You have to go to their site and root around for awhile.

I ran a full desulfation on my little-used (but maintained) group 29 battery yesterday. With 119 volts available, finish voltage was 15.92 with 7.1 amperes delivery. Was set on 10-amp, engine start with both switches.

Finish temperature: 95.4F as measures at the lead posts. Ambient temperature 86F. Time on charge 4.6 hours. Start voltage 12.77

  • Good idea but doesn't the circuit breaker click off when it's left on the start setting? I have that charger but haven't tried the starting setting to get the higher voltage for equalizing batteries.

15.92 Volts is too high IMHO.
Not for desulfation it isn't. Besides, Mex is a retired battery engineer, he knows what he's doing.
