Why is it that the majority of folks just can't get past the idea there are folks that simply can not afford to spend $1000 to $2000 and if a $88 gen is what they can afford.. WHY beat the tar out of those folks just because they CAN'T afford YOUR idea of a hobby???

Right on! I own a 2800 watt Yamaha because it is very quiet and provides a clean source of power. I also own a 4000 watt Powermate or some other name to use when I lose power at my house. The Yamaha cost 3 times the cost of the Powermate which has an electric starter. Each one serves a different purpose.

Must be this one. Sound level 52db--very competitive (probably at 25% load; EU2000i is 53db at 25% load). It's parallel capable. Also has "copper wound heads". If the power output, to include inrush current, is competitive with the EU2000i, we may have ourselves a real winner for $599.

There is nothing as pathetic as running a large generator powering a tiny load.

Exactly just use it to watch TV on occasion and to charge stuff or run a small tool on the back 40. no need to run the big genny

Jesús is using mine to power his deep freezers an refrigerators, one-at-a-time and it works great. Switched spark plug to NGK and it fires up quicker. It's small, it's light, it isn't quiet but it goes around in circles and makes electricity.
