Interestingly, we're on our inaugural trip in our new travel trailer and the second time we used the microwave it just clicked and no power.
I'm guessing that I'll be miles ahead to just buy a regular name brand (is it necessary that I get one from an RV Products store?) and forget the warranty. It will cost probably $20 to send it in and probably be charged another $20 to get it back.
An update. The People at High Pointe could not have been nicer. We were instructed to cut the information sticker with the plug from the microwave, include the sticker from inside the door and, in about a week, they had sent us the new microwave to replace the one that failed.
The replacement has worked flawlessly.
We had no out-of-pocket expense at all except for mailing the cord and sticker.
