When I had slow slide issues it turned out to be the IN/OUT switch was worn inside. The OP has a new trailer, but for the OP's situation, the switch has a neg to frame wire that on mine also had a poor connection at the frame. Before doing a lot of work, the OP should first find his switch's neg to frame wire and clean up that connection at the frame in case that is all it is.
That neg to frame for the switch is part of the neg path using frame to battery neg and then after the switch it goes to the slide motor but now it can be either pos or neg for in or out. The switch just reverses the polarity of the motor wires for in or out.
If the other 12v stuff works ok then it is not the battery- frame neg end, it would be the switch's neg to frame connection.
