wa8yxm found the part on amazon 499.00 brand new. Vison had the same part used still greasy for 599.00. I will keep this website for future reference but man they are proud of used stuff. hahhaha

1: I thought MY power gear slide out motor was toast.. Turns out it was the controller.. Motor is just fine

3: THe motor is still made but with a different number. Power Gear was bought and sold, same group as Dometic and Kwikee now if I recall properly which ..
Means it might be a different corporation.. Alas customer service is not their long suit, a Dealer can get the part for you.

There may be a lower cost alternative.. I can not help you there. but if there si I'd like to know as well so I'll be watching.

That's an outrageous price for a slide motor. The motors on my unit were about $100. For that price I'd check on getting it rewound locally.

Phone: (352) 242-3900. It's been a few years since I was there, but they had a room absolutely packed with powergear motors. They were able to match mine up and at a great price.

Had to end up taking it to a local rv dealer. They were able to match the part up to the correct one. Better news is they wanted 799.00 for the part however the parts lady looked it up on Amazon and I got it for 499.00.Guess I owe her lunch..

Do they work on motors that small? I know we sent of motors to be rewound but those were 10 HP and up. 1 or 2 HP motors went to the metal recyclers.

Take the motor to a local electrical shop and have it rebuilt. New bushings, bearings. Replace any broken gears (metal or plastic)Replace brushes and springs and rewind wire on armature if necessary.

Are you looking for just the motor, or do you want the motor and gear drive???
