My Negative bound to frame is 1/0 cable bolted, with bounding paste. She's good ;)
a 1'000 time better de manufacturer's bound EH !!
And the switch doesn't use frame from the negative.
I might need to confirme this by removing some panels, but
It's 10-2 wire from converter-switch-motor.
I sent an e-mail to KZ , will see what they say.
That is not the switch to frame neg connection I meant. If you pull the switch it has a number of wires to it. One is the neg input from battery via the frame. That goes straight to the frame on our trailer. Meanwhile, the converter is neg to frame and so is the battery. The neg path to the switch from battery is direct via frame.
If the converter is running the slide, the neg path would be via the frame from that connection in the photo, along the frame to the connection to the switch neg somewhere else. On ours the switch is on the wall just inside the door. The neg input to the switch is right below that to the frame via a hole in the floor inside the wall. The frame connection is up under at the edge by the steps.
As mentioned above, you can use your jumper cables to find whether the problem is on the neg or pos path to the switch. (I doubt it is after the switch.) You can undo the neg and pos switch input connections -wire nuts?- and go from the battery to the switch inputs one at a time and take the voltage at the motor for each case.
If it is the pos path at fault, then check the slide's red wire at the battery post--the other one from the red one for the converter/fuse panel. Also the 30 amp fuse on that pos wire for the slide might have high R across it for some reason.
I could even be a bad contact inside the switch like it was on ours but it was old. It was a problem installing the new switch because Lippert had changed the wire colours :( but guys on here showed me the link to the Lippert switch old and new wire diagram, which saved me. :)
