Been looking at the Eco-Worth 20amper, now on for $115 starting bid whatever that means--not familiar with how they do that pricing--,
BFL... always bargain hunting, eh ? :) ... Trying to save pennies on Ebay.... They are $102 direct from manufacturer, on Eco Worthy homepage.
Unlike on a normal auction, Ebay bids only go up, not down. If it doesn't sell, they re-list it, or take it to dumpster. Sometimes the same item - if they have more than one - is listed at 2 different starting bids on Ebay auctions ending on different days. Or at 3 different prices - one low starting bid, one higher, and one fixed Buy-it-now offer, and there can be also 4th price at the seller's homepage.
Thanks for the good tip(s) :) I ordered one from the home page--was $108 Can instead of $102 US--free shipping is a nice bonus.
jimindenver has tested this one out so I feel confident it will work right.
I managed to fry my nice LS2024 (really dumb error) so with having to replace that I figured it was within reach to pay a little more and try this controller instead. I also have the little $13 controller RJ was pushing ( :) ) for as long as it keeps working or until I fry it too by mistake.
For next summer, I expect to get another panel to go with the 130w I have and will be able to try different configurations 12v, 24v with MPPT. Could get a 230w panel and have two sets (230 MPPT set like Jim's and the 130w PWM), one for each battery bank, if I go crazy over the winter.
I see an ad where a local is selling a 240w for $276 --oh no, musn't look!!! :(
