Done. My usual battery stuff dealer in town got his arm twisted. Got a Hunwha 230w panel for a decent price for around here. Including taxes and less a discount, it came to $1.29/w. (no shipping--local buy) That is comparable to the low price 12v panels I was getting before and have since sold. (money recycled to new panel)
This dealer's source (wegosolar) has the details on this 230w panel
http://www.wegosolar.com/products.php?product=Solar-Panel-230-Watt-Made-in-CanadaWith the Eco-Worthy controller being not that much over a decent PWM in price (only three times the price instead of nine times the price) I figured it was worth it, especially where I want to have only one panel per contraption. I have learned from this past summer that it gets awkward with multi- panel contraptions.
So I am the new JiminDenver with the same set-up as his, except for not camping so high you need an oxygen mask. :)
Now it is on to building new contraptions this winter for my two panels in time for the April roll-out.
