My sunnyboy goes 600 volts. I think some go 1000v. My string is Vmp 368, Voc is close to 450 for 12 panels in series. I doubt your string was paralled just to reduce voltage for safety. If all could have been series IMO it would have been. Ether the entire string exceeded the Voc inverter rating or panels were installed at different angles.
