Honda 2000: surprisingly poor oil fill tube design

Honda prides itself on being environmentally friendly. So it is odd (to say the least) that the oil fill tube on the Honda 2000 is so tricky – some spillage is almost guaranteed. Look at this diag...

It takes 1/2 quart get a long neck funnel or one of the screw in adapters ,I have been maintaining 3 2000i’s for a very long time it’s not really a big deal . The air filter will make a mess if you leave to much oil in it but I use the spray , The onan in my TC is very similar but has a drain plug .
