Honda 2000i generators triple parallel kit

I see this triple parallel kit for sale on wisesales.com.

Triple Parallel Kit

Has anyone ever used this to run three Honda EU2000i's in parallel so you can get a full 50 amps of service? My concern is I saw something where Honda only recommends running a max of two generators in parallel. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

  • If he doesn't answer look on utube. Lots of vids of 2-3-4 Hondas in parallel with directions.
  • Thanks for the replies. My biggest concern is running both AC's at once. If I can do that, then I'll manage my power consumption by turning one AC off while I run the microwave or other things. We tailgate in September and October in Texas, and having both AC's running will make the DW much happier.

msiminoff, do you happen to have details on how you built your homemade parallel kit?
  • 50A RV supplies 2 legs of 110/50A of power. My 7500w QD will supply 60+ amps and I have never gotten It over 50+ with EVERYTHING both ACs, elec HWT, micro, on. Didn't turn on block heater.
  • I regularly parallel three EU2000i's for extended periods of time and run multiple AC's. I have never had any issues whatsoever. Note that I do not have that kit you provided the link to... mine is home-brewed. This configuration provides single phase 115Vac, ~40A continuous and ~52A max.

As others have said, this is NOT the same as what you would get from a 50A RV outlet which is 220 single phase plus a neutral (& ground) which gives you two legs 110V/50A legs. The triple parallel kit from Wise cannot provide 220V across the two "hot" legs since they are in phase with one another (ie. same leg).

    Cheers

On edit: Each leg of the 50A service is 110V & 50A
  • Apologies if I'm saying something you already know. Just keying off the "full 50 amps of service" comment. There's more difference between 30 amp service and 50 amp service than just the current. 50 amps at 120 volts (the max available from triple eu2000i) is only half the power available from a 50 amp service which is 120/240 volt.
  • Seems like 6000VA (3x 2000VA) should start and run two air conditioners

Still it is not full 50a service by a long shot.
  • what is the breaker on a honda 2000 .? 13amps? times 3, thats more like 40 amps at 120v

    an RV 50 amp service 50 amps 'per/each 120v leg' aka 12,000 watts, 120v*100amps

    not 6000 max 4,800 running

yes three hondas is more power than two
but no you are Not going to run two A/C's and other stuff at the same time from three hondas

yes it probably works, i read something somewhere else about stringing three inverter gensets together in a test
