Honda 2200i Experts??

I just used my eu2200i the other day for extended air conditioning time, my incoming voltage will read from 119-121vac but always settles at 120vac.

I see these readings from the Magnum remote display.

I have a couple of those.. I'll check them.

My first Yamaha 3000 sieb was dead on 120 volts, no load. The replacement is 123 volts.

Clearly voltage can be different.

Getting HOT already (0900 in Sacto area, enroute to OR coast :) …e.g. the ‘unaffected part’ lol), so I just tried it again with the air conditioner load and voltage has settled in at a steady 125vac (compressor ON)…Kinda Interesting, and the Prosine 2.0 is HAPPY for now….looks like the immediate fix to keep the air on is to just reprogram (say, raise to 131vac) the incoming voltage parameter on the Prosine - At this moment, Compressor OFF vac is 129…Much above this and the Prosine proactively disconnects shore power

That is all electronics in the inverter portion. The whole point of the inverter is that you get stable voltage output no matter the engine rpm. Don't ask us, go to Honda for the info. Maybe it is a simple adjustment, maybe a defect....

At Eco idle I see 128v. Under load of hair dryer 121. After turning off hair dryer it's 126.

Mine at present is 129 no load and 125 Comp ON…FWIW, I just did a inverter panel reset to factory default settings (erasing mine) to see if things improve…

In principal it shouldn't hurt anything.

120v is the nominal voltage. You are allowed, I believe +-10%, so up to 132V is technically within spec.

It may be that they know people are pushing these little generators hard, so they upped the baseline voltage, so if it sags under load, they are still up around 120V.

We have a Yamaha 2400 and it sits nicely at 119v according to the meter in the trailer....load or no load. It will sag for an instant when the air/con compressor kicks on but goes right back up.

Another item of Interest is that when I check the 12dc output, in eco it’s at 18.1vdc and in regular mode it’s at 25.5vdc - WT#O??

The 12 volt outlet is not regulated. Emergency use only. Measure under load.
