Honda eu2000i fuel line

There are a couple of fuel lines under the Maintenance cover that divert fuel to drain. One is connected to the bottom of the Carb. bowl. The other is a "Y" with one line to tank and one to carb. The lower end of the "Y" on mine is clear tubing that fits into a Square hole to drain to the outside.
My QUESTION is " How do I get the bottom short tube back into the square hole?????????????
