I would agree. Another 1k for the Honda and you are done vs another couple grand for a 3k unit and you would have less than wattage than with the 2 2000s. My champion 2000s were purchased for their mobility. I have a Honda 8k in the garage to power the house during blackouts. I would not want anything heavier than the 2k units for taking on the road. The 3k Honda is rated at 2800 watts if I recall. I really considered the 3k Yamaha at one time and, while they are quality units, am glad I went with the 2 lighter 2ks.
