I've done it. It does work. It can be handy in a pinch. Then I discovered my EU2000 will start my AC with everything else turned off at the panel. It is much easier to deal with 1 unit.
You may get away with pairing them to start the compressor, turning the thermostat to 50, turning off the 1,000, letting the single generator run the compressor from there.
