The Yamaha has less cc's too, but shows same outputs ?? Maybe a little higher RPM ?-- but is also quieter ...
I like the 'easier start' (heard that from a number of places) and the 10 hrs on a tank vs 8 hours ...
leaning toward the Yamaha at this time ...
The only thing this will be used for is charging TC batteries - and also computers and ISP connections.
we don't use hair dryer, MW, TV, or any appliances - just the batteries and electronics.
SO, if I plug this Yamaha/Honda into my surge protector, and charge the electronic stuff, is that the best way ... I have a "Cyber Power" surge protector with built-in reserve battery as well. SO, thought I would plug it into the generator 20 amp plug and charge it direct, and the LT and Hotspot as well.
I'd not run the electronics off the generator, just charge.
We can usually go three / four days on one Gr29 battery when no HU camping - and we're power-misers ... and bed early, up early. SO, less power use.
I'd think an hour each day after overnight use - lights, mostly and the CPU items, and hour with the 2000i should do it - so, that's ten days boon-docking with only one tank of fuel. Sounds fine to me ... :)
